Worship at the Church of Christ Uniting

Worship is at the heart of who we are as a church family. Each Sunday, we gather to encounter God through Scripture, prayer, music, and community. Whether you are exploring faith, returning after time away, or looking for a new church home, you will find a welcoming space to worship, grow, and belong.

Sunday Morning Worship

Our weekly worship service begins at 9:15 a.m. and lasts about one hour. You can expect a blend of traditional elements—Scripture readings, prayer, hymns, and choir anthems—woven with messages that connect God’s Word to our everyday lives. Worship is designed to be meaningful, accessible, and grounded in the rich traditions of both the United Methodist Church and the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Children in Worship

Children are an important part of our worshiping community. Each Sunday includes a Children’s Message, after which children may attend Sunday School (September–June). Nursery care is available year-round for our youngest worshippers.

Holy Communion

We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month. The Lord’s Table is open to everyone who seeks a relationship with Jesus Christ—membership is not required.
Communion is served by coming forward to the altar to receive the bread and unfermented grape juice. If you prefer to remain seated, an usher will gladly bring the elements to you.

Music in Worship

Music plays a special role in our services. Our choir, congregational hymns, and seasonal musical offerings help lift our hearts in praise. Whether you love to sing or simply appreciate sacred music, you will be blessed by this part of our worship life.

Offering & Stewardship

As you enter the sanctuary, you will find our offering box near the entrance for tithes and offerings.
A red “noisy can” is also available for small donations toward capital improvements—an effort that recently helped fund a new boiler system thanks to our congregation’s generosity.

Fellowship

Following worship, we gather for Coffee Hour, a relaxed time of refreshments, conversation, and community. It’s a wonderful opportunity to get to know others and feel at home.
