Reverend Christine Mitchell has been appointed to the Richfield Springs Church of Christ Uniting as of July 1, 2024. Chris as she prefers, is a second career Pastor. Prior to her work in Ministry she worked mostly in the area of Customer Service. Until she felt the call in to working in youth ministry at Aldersgate UMC in Rochester, NY. While at Aldersgate Chris worked as the Youth Director as well as the Co-Christian Education Director. She took youth on mission based outings, she work closely with the conference Committee on Youth Ministry, as well as Chaired the Genesee Valley District Committee on Youth MInistry. That was until she was called into Pastoral Ministry and was appointed to the Honeoye Falls UMC as their Pastor, this is where she has spent her last five years in ministry before coming to Richfield Springs. In addition to her pastoral role at the church, she is also the Upper New York Safe Sanctuaries Chair for the conference.
Along with Chris, comes her Mom Peg, and her Daughter Kennedy, their dog Macy, and two cats Khaleesi and Star. Chris also has a son Jacob who lives back in Rochester. In her free time Pastor Chris and her family love to go camping, and are active in Kiwanis, a service organization that serves children, and supports children’s agencies around the world.
